Christian Testimonies and Book Reviews in October (2026)

We’re well into October now, and getting a late start on our October testimonies, but hopefully coming to your inbox at just the right time for you. The delay is due to the fact that I just returned from a 10-day mission trip God knew I needed to experience. It was on this trip that He gave me a new perspective, tenderized my heart with a love for His people, and reignited a passion in me for His Word and for those who are lost. I came back to a changed season, autumn fully here and the weather brisk and refreshing, and my heart ready and open for what our Father has in store for my life and for the readers, writers, and contributors of Heart of Flesh. I’m excited to share with you the testimonies for this month, and hope they serve as powerful reminders of how the Lord reaches individuals and speaks into their hearts. As our part of the world grows a little colder and darker, I like to imagine that the light of Christ shines all the brighter, attracting weary seekers with His warmth and comfort while rekindling the passion of His followers.

We have three personal stories to share with you by writers whose lives have been radically transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. We hope that as you read them, your spirit catches the flame, and that you are encouraged to seek God, to know Him, and to rest in the soft glow of His presence.

We also have two book reviews that we hope will encourage you to travel further down the path into the Christian literary world.

Here are our testimonies this month:

  • Oct 15th: The Garden: The Day Jesus Became Real to Me by Marsha Young
  • Oct 20th: Like Gold: Through Fire to Purpose by Sylvanus Monday Udosen
  • Oct 22nd: Be Still by Faith Michaels

Our book reviews this month:

  • Oct 27th: Galahad and the Grail by Malcolm Guite: A Review by Jemimah Hawkes
  • Oct 29th: Life and Death in the Mind: A Song of Self-Sabotage and Hope by Mona Curtis: A Review by Ahneka Valdois

We hope these stories rekindle your passion for Christ and draw you closer to Him.

Be on the lookout for the release of Issue 16 on November 21st — both online and in print.

Thank you for reading. God bless you.
